SCHOOLS CAMP FOR ADVANCED REASONING SKILLS (SCARS) 2025
SCARS is a nationwide 2-day debate camp for students aged 12–18. Running since 2015, it’s our longest-standing workshop, held annually across nearly every state in Malaysia. Participants gain intensive training through dynamic lectures, exciting workshops, and training sessions led by world-class debate champions and seasoned trainers.

MIDP ON THE WORLD STAGE
Our competitions have gained international recognition as premier platforms where students from across the globe challenge their skills, build resilience, and connect with like-minded peers in a diverse and vibrant community.
Malaysian National Poetry Slam (MNPS)
Malaysia is officially recognised as a member of the World Poetry Slam Organization (WPSO) — the first Southeast Asian country to do so, and sent our national representative to the World Poetry Slam Championship 2025 in Mexico.
ESU International Public Speaking Competition
In partnership with the English-Speaking Union (ESU), MIDP proudly sent Pavit Coran, Malaysia’s representative, to the ESU International Public Speaking Competition 2021 — where Pavit led the nation to emerge as Champion on the global stage.
World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC)
MIDP students representing Team Malaysia at WSDC 2018 triumphed over national teams from Hong Kong, Australia, and Canada — with our debaters ranking 1st in the world.
