NOTABLE STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
Beyond our flagship workshops and competitions, we collaborate with like-minded youth-centric stakeholders on various initiatives which aims to empower, activate and provide opportunities to students in Malaysia and across Asia Pacific.
ASEAN AI Malaysia Summit
Rakan Muda Debating Championship

In conjunction with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship 2025 and in partnership with Google, Khazanah Research Institute, MyDigital and the National AI Office, a Youth Caucus is organised featuring 80 speakers and delegates from across ASEAN to discuss ideas for ethical AI innovation in the region.

In partnership with the Ministry of Youth & Sports Malaysia, a national level debate competition is organised featuring about 400 secondary school students from across the country to provide a platform for critical expression and intellectual discourse. This is an ongoing annual partnership.
Youth PACT

Study Melbourne Hub Open Mic

In partnership with Study Melbourne Hub and the Victorian Government, a series of events were organised to create awareness among Malaysian youths on study opportunities in Melbourne while providing a platform for networking and collaboration with related stakeholders in Malaysia.
Youth Parliamentary Debathon

In partnership with MalaysiaKini and KiniEvents, this annual event provides a platform for the Malaysian youths to role-play as a Minister and MP, while championing various issues impacting their constituencies via parliamentary debates and voting. Speakers are carefully recruited and mentored.
Kuala Lumpur Youth Literary Art Fest
In partnership with the University of Nottingham, KLYLAF is a 2-day literary arts festival which aims to empower young and emerging local artists featuring an opening concert, artist mentorship, art workshops, forums, open nic night, poetry slam and film screenings at various locations in KL.

REPRESENTING MALAYSIA IN THE REGION

Our competitions have gained international recognition as premier platforms where students from across the globe challenge their skills, build resilience, and connect with like-minded peers in a diverse and vibrant community.
Malaysia World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) 2015
The 35th World Universities Debating Championship has made its way to Malaysia for the second time after 10 years, in 2015. WUDC is the world’s most prestigious debating competition. The event attracted over 500 delegates from 70 countries, solidifying Malaysia’s reputation on the global debating stage.


Malaya Australasian Debating Championship 2018
Malaya Australs 2018 took place at the University of Malaya from the 27th of June 2018 till the 5th of July 2018. This event saw debaters and adjudicators from over 17 countries and 50 institutions come together to participate in the annual Australasian Debating Championship.


Malaysia Asian British Parliamentary Debating Championship (ABP) 2020
Malaysia ABP 2020 took place from 3–4 October and 10–12 October 2020. The championship brought together over 100 teams representing 17 countries across Asia. The tournament broke the record as the largest ABP in the history of Asia since its inception in 2009 in Thailand.


Malaysia United Asian Debating Championship (UADC) 2022
MIDP and Taylor’s College proudly hosted Malaysia UADC 2022, winning the bid uncontested by the Asian Debating Community. The championship brought together 108 teams from 84 institutions across 13 countries, with a total of 492 participants. The tournament was hosted online from 30 Sep - 9 Oct 2022.


Malaysia Asian British Parliamentary Debating Championship (ABP) 2023
Malaysia ABP 2023 has garnered immense participation, with a total of 220 delegates representing 40 institutions from 16 countries across Asia and Australia. ABP is one of the most prestigious debating championship in Asia and it took place from 22 - 28 September 2023.


Malaysia United Asian Debating Championship (UADC) 2024
The 15th UADC took place on 31 May - 7 June 2024. The Malaysia UADC brought together over 230 delegates from 40 institutions across 16 countries — nearly a third of the continent! Many participants praised it as one of the best debating tournament they had ever attended.
