Shah Nizam

Trainer

Having taken TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) in his diploma years, Shah spent some time teaching English in primary schools in Terengganu, before furthering his studies in English linguistics and literature, where he now also teaches public speaking to university students. Fascinated by the sway that words and their delivery; from tone, to expression, and movement, could have over the heart, Shah took the interest and refined it as he could, participating in tournaments from MUN (Model United Nations) to youth conferences, winning multiple awards as best speaker, as well as serving to represent Malaysia in the International Public Speaking Competition in London in 2017 against 40 other countries. Speaking is something everyone does everyday, but speaking well; in conveying emotions and messages to move audiences, is a beautiful art, an interest that Shah is always enthusiastic to share and help others in becoming the best communicators they can be, that anyone, through their words, may voice the great expanse of human emotion and expression.

Ruqaiyah Tajuddin

Being an English major, Qai has had her fair share of crafting speeches for a wide range of audiences. Accompanying that, her skill in public speaking also comes from varsity debating, public speaking tournaments and speaking for events and conferences in front of ministers and corporate leaders, such as Majlis Parlimen Mahasiswa. Being the first runner up for the IIUM English Poetry Competition, the scriptwriter for RE:ACTION2020, the editor of National Aspiration and Leadership Summit, her experiences are surely helpful in honing the skills of aspiring speakers. As a teacher and part-time trainer for public speaking in IIUM for two years, Qai’s warm, amicable and friendly style brings out the best in every student. From crafting and editing to delivering and impacting speeches, Qai’s complete portfolio is an asset in bringing out the best in future leaders.
