Continuing our efforts to bring international debating to Malaysia, MIDP, with the collaboration of Taylor’s College as a co-organiser has successfully won the right to host the Asia British Parliamentary Debating Championship (ABP) in 2020, under the name Malaysia ABP 2020.
The ABP is the largest intervarsity debating championship in the British Parliamentary format in Asia. Universities from all over Asia regularly attend ABP to chase the title of Asian Champion.
This right was secured after the bid to host was presented before the Asian British Parliamentary Debating Council during the 2019 edition of the competition in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
